I have been asked that question quite a few times here lately! So here is a typical 24 hour period for me
12am- we are usually asleep at this point
Then, depending on how the night goes there are 2 typical schedules:
Schedule 1:
2am- bottle/change time then back to sleep....
5:30am- another bottle/change then back to sleep
9am-bottle/change then we get up!
Schedule 2 (my preferred schedule):
5am- bottle/change then back to sleep
9am-bottle/change then we get up!
At this point we get back to the rest of the day!
9:30-12ish- If she is going to be fussy, this is one part of the day where she will be. She is normally awake during this time and if she isn't fussy, we "talk" and do things around the house and if I'm going somewhere for the afternoon, I try to get ready in bits and pieces during this time (people with new babies understand this!). Sometimes we go to Mimi's (my mom) house and visit for the rest of the afternoon while Tyler is at work.
12:30pm(sometimes to 1:30)- another bottle/change
1:30-4:30pm- she is usually asleep during this time no matter where we are. I have started trying to be at home (or my mom's because she has a cradle and she sleeps good in there) and putting her in her bed during this time. I have quickly figured out that if she doesn't get a good nap during the day, she isn't her happiest that night before bed time. This is also the time that I will usually go and run errands or get out and about if I need/want to.
4:30pm- bottle/change
5:00-8:00pm- she will nap on and off during this time and we are either at Mimi's or at home visiting with dad (if he isn't playing golf! ha) Sometimes she will take a bottle around 7:30, just depends..if not!....
8:00pm- usually bath time! She still loves her baths so this is always a favorite time of the day. I am still trying to get some sort of schedule down with her and this part is working out pretty good. Since she is so little still, a "schedule" sometimes goes to hell in a handbasket :)
8:30pm- bottle/change, change into pjs and start trying to get her to sleep for the night
9:00pm- this is another time during the day that she will get fussy...I think sometimes she is worn out and is fighting her sleep and/or tummy issues.
From this point on we are usually in the bed for the night until the next feeding and we do it all over again. So, this is what I do all day :)
Might I add, that as I type this, she is napping, peacefully and soundly (she'll probably wake up and I post ha) in her bed. Enjoyable:)
