Nashville Trip 2014

Tyler, Sadie and I packed up and headed to Nashville so we could all meet our new baby cousin Camden.  Haley and Warren were nice enough to let us wreck their house for a few days to come visit. We stayed in on Friday night since we had just traveled 3.5 hrs and visited.  Sadie LOVED Camden.

Saturday we woke up and headed to the zoo! Sadie loved seeing all the animals and Camden slept the entire time, ha.

After the zoo we thought it would be fun to take them to the Rainforest Cafe for some lunch.  But we were wrong.  Sadie was terrified of the all the noises and animals and cried on and off from the time we got there until we left.  I don't think he being very sleepy from being out all morning helped. Maybe next time!
We headed back to their house for naps after lunch and little tink slept over 3 hours.  We had worn her out because she never takes over 3 hour naps.
For dinner we went to Sopapillas, a great Mexican please.  It was delish!

Sunday we packed up and headed home! Such a fun time visiting with family.

New Adventures

Starting a new adventure means change.  Change is hard, especially when you are not exactly sure what is going to happen.  I have prayed about it endlessly wanting/needing it to work out.  So here I go, I took a leap of faith and I am starting a new adventure in my life.  I have resigned from my job at the McDougal Center.  I adore the people I work with and love the atmosphere.  For me, its just not right at this moment in my life.  To say it is a tough job would be an understatement.  Working with special needs children is a challenge.  One that I actually love.  For now, I am going to start working with Therapy Zone.  They are a company based out of Southaven, MS that contract out Early Intervention specialists for children with special needs birth to 3 years of age.  I am going to be working as a Special Instructor part time.  This will allow me to set my own schedule and be able to have to my main goal met which is...being able to be HOME more, be a MOM more.  It brings tears to my eyes thinking that I really am going to be able to spend so much more TIME with my sweet Sadie. I would love to be able to be a stay at home mom, but that is just not in the cards for us at the moment, so I am hoping this will allow the best of both worlds.  Working and staying home more. So here I go, please say a prayer! :)

Gum Tree 2014

This year we all signed up to run the Fun Run 2k for the Gum Tree.  Tyler, Sadie, Chip, Vanessa, Eliza, Brad, Elizabeth, Barrett and myself all got together to do it.  We had the girls all pumped up and ready to run.  Needless to say, our sweet little 2 year olds came in dead last in the Fun Run.  Not only did we come in last, we got passed by the winner of the Gum Tree.  We had to move over to the side so they could pass us.  It was funny.  Everyone had a big time and we are excited to make this a tradition.

Gotta stretch it out before a big run

Run girls run!

My Life. My Heart.

We are Blessed.
Our cup runneth over.

Short and simple. I am BLESSED.
