3 Year Anniversary

Tyler and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on April 17.  That night we went to dinner at The Grill.  It was delish as always.  We started off our meal with the spring rolls, an all time favorite of mine.  I had the fish tacos, Tyler had a shrimp poboy and Sadie has a grilled cheese with fruit.
On Friday we headed over to Birmingham.  We didn't get in as early as we would have liked to, so once we got there we checked into our hotel, Homewood Inn and Suites.  Getting a suite worked out wonderful for us.  We were able put Sadie in her pack n play in the "living room" and shut the door.  That way we were able to not have to turn all the lights/tv out at 7:30pm (her normal bed time).  I recommend this place to anyone with children looking for somewhere to stay! We grabbed a quick bite to eat then headed back to the hotel for her to sleep and rest up for the big day!
Saturday morning we ate breakfast in the hotel then went back and got ready.  After her morning nap we headed to the Birmingham Zoo! It was so much fun.  Sadie seemed in awe.  She just stared and pointed. "oooooo" she was said.  It was adorable.  We definitely want to go back when she gets a little older so she can really know what is she experiencing.

Peek a Boo!

Sweet zoo girl

Really wanting her baby gorilla we had just bought her

After the zoo we headed to PF Changs in the Summit shopping area for lunch.  This is one of our all time favorite places.  We shared the lettuce wraps, crispy honey chicken and beef & broccoli (YUM).  I also had one of my favorite drinks ever, their Pear Mojito.  Delish.

This habit sure is becoming hard to break...

Chop stick fun!

Sadie had her afternoon nap then we headed out to do a little shopping.  For dinner we dined at Satterfields.  A small place in the Cahaba Heights area.  The food was divine. I had a filet and Tyler had grouper.  Oh emm geee....definitely a must if you are in the area. Sadie had been absolutely perfect the entire weekend...right up until this night.  She refused to sit in her high chair.  I think it was from having to sit and be held most of the day.  She needed to run free.  We were so thankful for the staff at this place.  They were amazing and so accomodating.  They ended up seating us on their outside dining area and gated off the entrance so Sadie couldn't escape.  I was a bit embarrassed but they honestly didn't seem to care.  It was a great ending to a wonderful weekend get away.
