Thanksgiving 2013

I can't believe Thanksgiving has already come and gone! Time is passing way too quickly for my liking. Anywho, on Thanksgiving day we had lunch at my parent's house with her side of the family.  All 22 (maybe 24??) of us! We are growing every year with people getting married and having babies.  The more the merrier!

Thanksgiving night we went to my dad's parent's house to eat some more and watch that dreaded football game. Dinner was delicious...the game..not so much.  I am a proud Rebel all day, but I guess that night just wasn't our night to win.  Everyone has bad days and this was ours.  Oh well, time to go bowling! Hotty Toddy!

Friday we ate lunch at Tyler's parents house with his family and visited.  Lots of delicious food was eaten and we are tired!
We are so blessed to have such great and loving families! Our cup runneth over! We hope everyone had as wonderful of a Thanksgiving as we did.

Halloween 2013

This year for Halloween Sadie went as a kitty cat.  She loves cats so I thought it was appropriate.  She says "meoww" all the time!
The weather wasn't too great so we hopped around to our family's houses and trick or treated then headed home.  She tolerated her costume great and it was lots of fun!

19 Months

On October 1st our little Sadie Lea was 19 months old.  Every day she says and does things that amaze me.  Her vocabulary has quadrupled over the past month or so.  It's unbelievable! She is such a sponge.  She mimics so much that I do.  I love watching her brain tick.

At her 18m check up she weighed 21lbs 19oz and was 32 in long. 
She is wearing size 18m clothes and a FEW (very few) 24m/2T.
Her eating has not gotten any better.  No more likes/dislikes to add since the 16m update.
Still only strawberry milk and water to drink although I have given her tea and lemonade a few times.
These are the words (hopefully I can remember most of them) that she says clearly and understands their meaning:
Mommy, Daddy, Mimi (my mom), Poppy (my dad), Dede (Tylers mom), Ziza (Eliza), Chip(my brother), Nessa (Vanessa), Boo Boo (my dog Buster), Dixie (Tylers parents dog), Meow, dog, cat, horse, milk, NO (and says it often), outside, eat, truck, airplane, water, duck(s), quack quack, bye, bye bye, ride, golf cart, grass, bed, night night, cereal, sausage, cheese, blocks, baby, paci, blankie, berries....I know there are more but I have listed as many as I can think of...
She says pretty much anything you ask her to so the list literally grows daily 
Her current favorite things to do are: RUN, run...and run away from us!:), ride in the golf cart, read books, feed the ducks, anything outside, play with baby dolls, jump off the couch into my arms (still not sure why I started this wonderful event)
Nap/Sleep Schedule- Still 2 naps a day varying from 45min to 1.5 hrs at a time.  Normally goes to bed between 7:30-8 and wakes up around 6:30.  Here lately I have been having to wake her up to leave for work. PTL! Lets hope this trend continues.
She has all of her teeth but her 2 year molars.


I think God every night for such a sweet, smart and HEALTHY baby girl.

First Day of Toddler Preschool at FUMC

Sadie started toddler preschool at FUMC today! Such a big girl.  She is in the 18-24 month room.  Her teachers are Ms. Tina and Ms. Martha.  We have heard great things about them and are super excited for her to be in there.  I was able to go late into work to take her.  That made this working mommy super happy:)  We had grilled cheeses together, played a little then got ready for "school"!

Of course we had to have a photo shoot before we went....

Thats about as good as it is going to get, getting an 18 month old to hold a sign while trying to get a good picture.  I think they are pretty sweet though:)

Once we got there she was a little unsure at first but then wanted down to play.  She roamed around for a minute then started to play...  

 I tried to sneak out but once she noticed me leaving she cut out running and crying for me.  I had to hand her over to Ms. Martha and leave.  I stayed outside the door for a moment just to check.  I peeked back in and she was fine, so that made me feel better.

All of her notes said she had a great day! Ate well, played well and believe it or not, napped well! We will take it!

Orange Beach 2013

On Tuesday July 23, Tyler Sadie and I with Chip, Vanessa and Eliza loaded up and headed to Orange Beach.  We actually drove to Mobile on Tuesday night and stayed so the trip wouldn't be so long on our girls.  We woke up early Wednesday morning and headed on down.  We stopped at the Foley Outlet malls on the way down.  The girls were ridiculously exhausted due to the fact all 6 of us shared a hotel room the night before.  I don't recommend this to anyone.  Lets just say not much sleep happened for any of us.
We drove on down to the condo and unloaded what felt like our entire house.  Traveling now isn't quite like it used to be.  Every time we go somewhere I feel like I pack my entire house. Anywho... Wednesday we played at the pool for a bit then let the girls nap.  That night we headed to Tacky Jack's for dinner.  It was good but Sadie was so sleepy most of my time was spent trying to keep her entertained without her losing her mind.
Thursday we headed to the beach! We were so lucky that the girls absolutely loved everything about the beach.  The sand, the water, everything! Such a blessing.  They played and played and played.  They were so precious.  We spent all day on the beach going back and forth from the ocean back to the tent.  It was great.

We came in around 3:30 and let the girls nap while we all hung around and got ready for dinner.  We took some pictures before we went out to dinner...

This night we went to Cosmo's.  It was delish! I had a banana leaf wrapped sea bass...YUM.  We sat outside where a band was playing so it seemed to keep the girls pretty entertained.

Friday we were beach bound again! We spent all day on the beach and laid low that night.  We ordered pizza and stayed in.

On Saturday we woke up to lots of rain:(( We were able to get in a quick lunch at The Gulf restaurant. It's a really neat place right on the beach and the food was great.  Definitely somewhere we want to go back to but hopefully next time we won't be cramming the food in our mouths trying to get done before the next storm blew in.

We weren't able to ever get to the beach this day so we hung around the condo.  That night we loaded up and went to The Hangout for dinner.  We met Vanessa's little cousins there for dinner.  Apparently I took all the pictures this night on my phone so I don't have any to post:(

Sunday we loaded it all up and headed home! The trip couldn't have gone any better and we can not wait to go back next year! 

16 months

Sadie will be 16 months on July 1st.  I just want to document some things so I can look back one day and see what she was doing at this age:)

At your 15m check up you weighed 20.10lbs and were 30in long.
You are a silly silly girl and love to have fun and play.
You are definitely running and you do it all the time.
You run from us when we call your name to come to us, which is funny and irritating:) at the same time.
You still don't eat much, you never really have.
Things you do like to eat: cheese, grapes, strawberries, grilled cheese, corn dog nuggets, mac and cheese, bananas, bologna, cheese puffs, anything sweet (cookies, cupcakes, ice cream), vegetable straws, Ritz crackers.  You still like the yogurt pouches.
You still only drink milk (strawberry now) and water.
Words you say clearly: Dada (which you yell all the time), Mama, Hey, Boo Boo, Bow.  You "talk" all the time.
Body Parts you know: eyes, ears, nose, belly button, feet, head and hands
Favorite things to do: run/walk, play in the water, ride on the golf cart, and snuggle with me:)
Sleeping: You go to sleep at 8 and have been waking up any where from 6:30-7
Naps: Morning around 9 for an hour.  Afternoon: 1:30 for around an hour
You have been teething very, very bad, which has disrupted your sleeping and napping.  You are drooling badly and a little fussy.  Tylenol has helped some.
You are wearing mostly 18m clothes and depending on the brand you can wear some 12m.

You are amazing.  We love you more than words can say! You are so so so funny and active! You are a wild child.  You are perfect in every way.

My mom's birthday was May 17th.  We celebrated at my house.  Us 3, Chip, Vanessa, Eliza and my dad all came over for dinner.  Chip and I planned the menu.  We had filet and shrimp kabobs, rice, salad and ice cream birthday cake for dessert! It was all DELISH.  We had such a good time and can't wait to celebrate many more with her!
