My Sweet Niece

My sweet little angel niece, Eliza Lea Turner, was born on February 16, weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches! Vanessa and Chip went in that morning around 5:30 a.m. and she made her grand debut at 7:10 p.m.  Vanessa did a great job all day and was such a trooper! We were all so proud of her.  We are all in love with little Eliza and think she is absolutely precious.  Now if we could only bribe her cousin Sadie into getting here so they could go ahead and start being best friends!

Pics from the day and days following.....

FInal Countdown...for real...

We are officially on the final countdown.  Seriously.  Kinda nerve wracking to think about.  Knowing that in LESS than 2 weeks, I will already be back home with the little punkin! Amazing.  Everything is still going just fine, PTL.  When I went for my 36 week ultrasound they told me little priss was already weighing 7 lbs.  Most parts of her body were measuring 38 1/2 weeks...and at the time I was only 36...you do the math. So needless to say, we are expecting a fat chunky monkey come March 9th.  Which is just fine by me! Except for the fact that I feel that I am the size of a large cow and people remind me daily on just how big I have gotten.  I didn't really get into the "belly pic" pictures.  I'm okay with not remembering exactly how large I grew every week.  I may regret it one day but for now, I'm good.  I go for my 38 week check up tomorrow, hopefully we'll get some good news! Every one keep us in your prayers as we embark on this new wonderful journey of parenthood! We can't wait, come on little Sadie! We are ready for you!!

I am Sleepy

"I am sleepy" "I am tired" "My back hurts".....these are just a few of the statements that I feel like if I hear myself say them again I will scream! I hate (not actually hate) people who complain about things that they knew they were going to happen.  I have become one of those people.  Of course, I am tired.  Of course, I am sleepy.  Of course, my back hurts/aches.  These are just a few of the things that most will experience at the end of pregnancy.  I hate to complain but sometimes I just can't help it.  I really am all of these things, plus more, quite a bit of the time.  I knew what I was getting in to and that all of this is 100% part of it, but sometimes I just need to throw myself a little pity party.  I am actually very lucky/blessed that all of the symptoms I am feeling are completely normal and nothing abnormal is going on.  Another reason I hate to feel like I am complaining.  A lot of people have a lot worse things going on than me.  So I will sum up this random post by saying....I'm sleepy/tired and hurting but I am 100% okay with it because nothing is going wrong and in a few short weeks (less than 5 to be exact) there will be a precious angel here that makes it all more than worth it.

Here are 2 videos of her having a party in my belly the other night.....
(you'll see my white/swollen hand come in, in one of them, please excuse it ha)

Wonderful Sunday

This past Sunday I had my 1st baby shower thrown by some of my most favorite people in the world.  I thought there was a great turn out and was amazed by everyone's generosity.  Times like these show you how amazing those close to you are! Baby Sadie got some really great stuff.  I couldn't wait to get it home and go through everything.  Only 6.5 weeks left until she makes her grand arrival, unreal.

She decided one of Sadie's toys was going to be hers!

With the Hostesses, love these girls!

The next few weeks will be extremely busy.  We have a shower for Vanessa the next 2 weekends and then my shower at my church the next.  The following weeks after that I hope to do nothing and rest to prepare for little miss' arrival. I had my 32 week check up on Tuesday and everything is still going fine.  Just one of those in and out type of appointments, I spent 5 times as long waiting to see the doctor than actually seeing him.  I'm going every 2 weeks now and after my next appointment I will start going every week.  Crazy! I'm still feeling good except for the normal aches and pains.  I have been so blessed to have such a great pregnancy (except for the nausea but all in all, it wasn't TOO bad).

The past month all in one......

Lots of updating to do!

Lets see, I guess I'll begin around Christmas.  We had a great Christmas.  Lots of food and family time! We started off Christmas Eve with going to my mom's parents early that morning and finished off the day with going to my dad's side of the family.  Christmas morning we woke up, ate breakfast just us 2 (for the last time!) and opened presents with each other.  For lunch we went to Tyler's parents and ate lunch and opened presents with them.  Around 4 or so, we opened presents with my parents followed by dinner! It was all fabulous!

This is the only picture I was willing to take during Christmas..and I may regret putting this up...the infamous belly shot.....
I was 29 weeks here...

Moving on! I got a new lens for my camera and we played with it a little bit....

The day after Christmas we loaded up and went to Gatlinburg with Tyler's family.  There was no snow so they boys were able to ski like they had planned.  One night it ended up snowing just a little bit and they were able to drive about 2 hours away and ski.  So it ended up being no so bad. We went to Cade's Cove one day and drove through the park.  It's pretty much a deer reservation.  We didn't really get to see much, matter of fact we see more when we go to Greenwood, but it was still a neat experience.

We came home on Thursday and left for Greenwood for New Years on Friday.  Tyler hunted and I just laid around.  Nothing too exciting or special but I was just fine with that.

The following Tuesday, January 3, I had my 30 week check up.  Everything looked great! Everything was measuring right on...except for her belly...which is measuring over a week ahead of schedule! Wittle fat girl! That afternoon we headed over to Baby's Kickin to get a sneak peak of what little Miss Sadie looks like.  We are even more in love now than we were before!

look at those cheeks!

we think she definitely resembles me as a baby

We all thought they turned out so good! It just makes it that much more real now after seeing her.  I just love her so much already.  I can not even imagine what it will feel like when she gets here.

The next day was my birthday, January 4th! Tyler and I went to dinner at Outback because I was wanting some cheeesseee fries, YUM!! It was delicious. Thursday night I went to dinner with my besties to Mt. Fuji.  No pictures, but we had a really good time!

Chip and Vanessa went to Baby's Kickin on Thursday to see about getting some pics themselves.  I don't have any copies of them but they got some really good ones too.  I did make this though.....

Sweet Cousins :)

Once again we headed back to Greenwood for the weekend so the boys could hunt.  Saturday night we went to Giardina's for my annual birthday dinner.  I haven't eaten steak this entire pregnancy because the thought of having to chew it has make me sick...well that changed! I ate an entire 20 oz ribeye by myself.  I never even eat ribeye! I am a filet type of girl.  I topped it off with a piece of butter cake topped with vanilla ice cream. De. Lish. As always.  It is definitely one of my top 3 places I have ever eaten.

All of us at dinner.  Please excuse the fat face.
We set up the babies bed in Greenwood.  The crib is the one my mom used with Chip and I, surprisingly enough it works just fine.

Simple and Sweet
I have added a few things to her nursery too...

I have since added fabric into the 2 black frames and it looks much better

She got 2 piggy banks for Christmas, we love them!
I believe I have updated everything now! We are starting to get back to "normal" from the holidays...we just know once we get settled, our lives will change (for the better) more than we could ever imagine! I just can't believe how close it is getting! I can't wait to meet her but for now I am trying to rest as much as possible :)

Preview

Here is a preview of Sadie's nursery thus far! (I just got an iPhone the other day so I am still learning how to use all the picture editing on it!)  I ordered all the fabric online and my Aunt Phyllis, the wonderful seamstress that she is, has sewn it all together (bedding and curtains). The piece above her bed is part of the fabric used in her bedding and the monogram part I found on Pinterest.  It is cut out of a piece of wood and then I painted it black.  It is still a work in progress but I think it is coming along nicely.  I really, really like it.

I'll update with more pictures again the more I get done.

I can't believe Christmas is only a few days away! To say time is flying is an understatement.  10 and a half weeks from this Friday (that is if everything is still going fine) she will be here.  March 9th.  Unbelievable. We are officially on the countdown!
Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!
